As sole distributor of Monte Solaio wines in the UK, Bedmond Hill Estate takes enormous pride in representing this exceptional range to discerning restaurants, hotels and specialist wine suppliers. Annual production levels are limited, so please contact us to confirm availability.

Monte Solaio winery is just south of Bolgheri in Campiglia Marittima, Tuscany, overlooking the island of Elba. The vineyards surround the 18th Century Bonaria Castle, 230m above sea level upon highly mineralised mixed limestone soils. Wine production first began here in 500 BC by the Etruscans. Such was their expertise, their wine and knowledge were traded throughout the Mediterranean, leading to transplantation of the Eurasian grapevine and the beginning of the French wine industry.

Today, Monte Solaio produces limited quantities of wine from 10 hectares of land selected for its exceptional geology. The winery produces less than 45,000 bottles per year, from grape varieties perfectly matched to each hectare including Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Viognier, Cabernet Franc, Vermentino, Ansonica, Colorino, Pugnitello and Petit Verdot.
